The Tone:
This is an intensive, one-year or less job training program at Year Up United, located in Charlotte, NC. The program is designed to equip young adults with the essential skills and opportunities required to launch thriving professional careers. Participants will benefit from a comprehensive approach that seamlessly integrates in-classroom skill development with practical experience through internships or direct job placement services. What You’ll Actually Do
• Skill Development: Actively participate in in-classroom skill development sessions, focusing on professional business and effective communication techniques.
• Career Preparation: Acquire and refine essential career launch skills, including advanced interviewing strategies, professional networking, and comprehensive resume building.
• Specialized Training: Engage in rigorous, in-depth classes covering critical industry domains such as Banking, IT Support, Application Development, Data Analytics, and Project Management.
• Professional Experience: Gain invaluable hands-on experience and apply learned skills during an internship phase, potentially at leading Charlotte-area organizations like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, or Lowe’s Companies, Inc.
• Career Launch: Receive continuous, personalized coaching and mentorship, alongside robust job placement services through YUPRO Placement, to successfully launch and sustain your professional career.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Must be a high school graduate or GED recipient and have not obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: No specific years of prior work experience are required, but candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S., available Monday-Friday throughout the program’s duration, and demonstrate high motivation to acquire both technical and professional skills.
• Skills: Strong professional business and communication skills, interviewing proficiency, networking abilities, and resume building expertise.
