RPR Public Relations Intern (Summer 2026)
Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) is a leading, full-service, mid-size public relations agency based in New York. With more than 30 years of experience, we have built a reputation for launching and tipping brands, while placing top-tier broadcasting within print and digital. We represent a compelling roster of clients in business, technology, real estate, finance, luxury consumer products, sustainability, entertainment, health and wellness, social impact, and the nonprofit sector.
About the Internship Program
The RPR Internship Program is a challenging platform designed for interns to obtain real work experience and augment their professional development. As an intern, you will be immersed in our collaborative work environment and act as an active contributor to the agency by sharing ideas, opinions, and working together as a team. Our interns work alongside industry experts within a particular practice area and specialty of the company.
This position is hands-on and offers a unique chance to gain in-depth knowledge of public relations. The program provides practical work experience and professional development opportunities, allowing interns to work directly with our team on client projects, contribute to campaigns, and gain exposure to different areas of the business.
Key Details & Requirements
- Commitment: Must be able to commit to 20 – 30 hours a week.
- Location: This is an in-person internship at our Midtown office in New York City.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Eligibility: We are looking for rising Juniors or Seniors who are currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in public relations/communications or a related field.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. RPR will provide an experience that meets the criteria for academic credit and will complete any paperwork provided by the student to obtain course credit from an accredited academic institution.
Responsibilities
- Compile contact and media lists
- Research and market analysis
- Assist with writing press releases and other materials
- Review and edit documents as needed
- Create article clippings
- Compile reports
- Assist with scheduling events
- Support the team with client needs
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in public relations/communications or a related field
- Previous PR internship experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a commitment to learning
