Intern, Manufacturing Engineering | Moog
The Tone:
This is an internship at Moog, located in Christiansburg, VA. This role supports the Manufacturing Engineering team within the Industrial Group, contributing to crucial engineering tasks and offering technical support for manufacturing processes. Interns will play a part in improving efficiency, analyzing materials, and ensuring quality in a professional setting.

• Mission: To contribute to key engineering tasks and provide technical support to engineers, improving manufacturing processes and material quality.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks at Moog.
• Support: Provide technical support to engineers on various projects as needed.
• Analyze: Conduct material defect evaluations, properties testing, and analyze processes such as heat treatments and plating.
• Improve: Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and data analytics to enhance manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate: Operate as a multidisciplinary team member, providing input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, and/or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience: Minimum GPA of 3.0; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of engineering principles (Chemical, Materials Science, Mechanical); effective communication skills; strong desire to learn.
