Summer Merchandising Intern | Lennox National Account Services (NAS)

The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at Lennox National Account Services (NAS), with location undisclosed though relocation may be required. Lennox is a 130-year-old leader in HVAC and refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions globally. As a Summer Merchandising Intern, you will play a key role in optimizing product display and assortment, directly contributing to business outcomes within the company’s retail strategy. What You’ll Actually Do
• Merchandising Plan Preparation: Assist in developing comprehensive merchandising plans and creating detailed planograms.
• Product Assortment Analysis: Analyze product assortments across regions by utilizing regional sales data to inform strategy.
• Reporting and Template Creation: Design and build reports and presentation templates for long-term use in stores.
• Store Floor Plan Optimization: Review and organize store floor plans to maximize product layout efficiency and provide regional planograms.
• Vendor Collaboration & Fund Utilization: Collaborate with vendors and manage Co-op funds to support marketing efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent; entry-level professional knowledge in merchandising or a related area; foundational understanding of core merchandising and retail concepts.
• Experience: Strong analytical skills, particularly when working with sales and product data.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; keen attention to detail and strong organizational ability; positive attitude and solid work ethic.
• Bonus: Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising (Retail or Digital), or a related field; interest or desire to lead project teams; previous marketing, retail, or customer service experience; well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; strong sense of curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit; passion for producing high-quality work.
