The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: San Antonio, TX
• Mission: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients by matching their needs with the nurse’s competencies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Assessment and Planning: Assess human responses and adaptation to actual or potential health problems for patients, families, and significant others, then institute and initiate a comprehensive plan for patient care.
• Care Implementation and Evaluation: Implement and continuously evaluate interventions, reassessing patient needs on an ongoing basis, while supporting and maintaining the physiologic stability of patients.
• Crisis Response and Resource Utilization: Recognize changing patient conditions, respond with confidence, and utilize unit resources, the chain of command, and Rapid Response Team (RRT) in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Medication Administration and Documentation: Accurately calculate and administer medications, assimilate and prioritize information to take immediate and decisive patient-focused action, and meticulously document all plans and care provided.
• Collaboration, Education, and Discharge Planning: Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in the planning and management of patient care, identify needs for and provide patient, family, and/or significant other education, and participate in discharge planning with instruction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Early Career.
• Experience: No minimum experience required. Preferred: Two years in acute care, with previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU.
• Skills: Possession of a current Texas State License for Registered Nurse; must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) on hire, or AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. Additional advanced cardiac life support (AHA ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (AHA PALS), neonatal resuscitation program (AHA NRP), or S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications are required based on unit assignment, typically within 60 days or 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
