Job Summary: Host/Hostess

As a Host/Hostess, you will be an integral part of a team-oriented, high-volume, and fast-paced environment. Your primary role is to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests by:

  • Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
  • Engaging in friendly conversation while seating guests.
  • Managing the restaurant’s waiting list accurately during high volume periods to set clear guest expectations.
  • Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables promptly to ensure readiness for the next guest.
  • Sincerely thanking guests as they depart and inviting them to return.
  • Completing any other tasks as requested or required by the manager on duty.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
  • Communication: Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule – ability to work days, nights, weekends & holidays.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrating a high level of organization, cleanliness, and a strong sense-of-urgency.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of how to operate a computer/tablet.
