What You’ll Actually Do
• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, setting a friendly and inviting tone for their visit.
• Escort guests to their tables, engaging in pleasant conversation to enhance their initial experience.
• Maintain precise control of the guest waiting list during peak times, clearly communicating wait times to manage expectations.
• Prepare tables swiftly and thoroughly for incoming guests by clearing, cleaning, and resetting them promptly.
• Bid farewell to departing guests with genuine thanks and an invitation for their return, ensuring a positive final impression.
• Support overall restaurant operations by performing additional duties as requested by the manager on duty.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level understanding of guest service principles, with a preference for prior customer-facing roles.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Skills: Strong verbal communication in English, comfort conversing with customers, organizational ability, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Bonus: High School diploma or GED preferred, minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred, and a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
