About the Role: Travel Universal Banker

As a Travel Universal Banker, you will be a versatile and indispensable member of our team, cross-trained to handle both teller and platform responsibilities. This means you’ll have the opportunity to engage with customers at every touchpoint, from handling everyday transactions to guiding them through more complex financial decisions.

Your primary responsibility will be to travel daily to different branches within your assigned market, providing crucial support where it’s needed most. This role requires a high degree of flexibility and a willingness to embrace a varied work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extensive Travel: This position requires up to 100% travel within the designated market area, ensuring seamless support for our branches.
• Product & Service Expertise: Maintain extensive knowledge of all retail bank products and services. Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new ones by understanding their unique needs and priorities.
• Promote & Open Services: Effectively promote, explain, open, and renew (where applicable) a wide array of financial institution services, including consumer loans (excluding real estate), IRAs, Certificates of Deposit, and safe deposit boxes.
• Drive Needs-Based Sales: Initiate proactive needs-based sales conversations through various interactions, including service-to-sales opportunities, teller interactions, and appointment setting.
• Loan Facilitation: Assist customers financially by delivering loan products, ensuring all packages are accurate and complete to minimize exceptions.
• Teller Operations: Perform comprehensive paying and receiving teller transactions, such as receiving checks for deposit, verifying amounts, examining checks for proper endorsement, cashing checks, and processing withdrawals. You will also place holds on accounts for uncollected funds and perform daily cash drawer balancing.
• Digital Education: Educate customers on various options for managing transactions using technology and all other available tools and resources.
• Problem Solving: Apply your product and service knowledge to effectively solve customer problems and provide timely resolutions.
• Team Support: Assist other staff members in serving customers, answering telephones, and performing additional duties as necessary to ensure smooth branch operations.

Requirements To Be Successful

To excel as a Travel Universal Banker, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule and accommodate travel to different branches as needed.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Digital Proficiency: Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful completion of a background and credit check is required.
• This is a full-time, non-remote position.
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
