The Tone:
This is an internship at Zayo, located in Denver, CO. Zayo provides mission-critical bandwidth to the world’s most impactful companies, operating a vast 141,000-mile network across North America and Europe, which includes extensive metro connectivity to thousands of buildings and data centers. This role is crucial for improving organizational efficiency by automating manual tasks that currently exist outside core ERP systems, standardizing processes, and implementing solutions to significantly enhance overall productivity.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Analysis: Meticulously analyze current manual workflows across departments to identify critical inefficiencies and areas ripe for automation.
• Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement practical automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, including standardizing candidate questions and scorecards within Workday and other pre-identified functions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to gather comprehensive requirements, co-design effective solutions, and ensure all efforts align with overarching organizational goals.
• Documentation & Training: Create thorough documentation for all automated workflows, encompassing detailed process maps, intuitive user guides, and essential training materials.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of automated processes to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must have completed your sophomore year by the start of the internship and be currently enrolled in a degree or certificate-seeking program for the fall semester of 2026. This role requires pursuing a degree in Business Management, Business Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail, coupled with required proficiency in Excel. The ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively is also essential.
• Skills: Effective communication skills, capable of engaging clearly and professionally with team members across various departments to ensure collaborative success.
• Bonus: Prior experience or coursework in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma; familiarity with AI tools and concepts; experience or coursework in business management or financial modeling; and familiarity with automation tools like RPA software.
