About The Opportunity:
Brown University’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) extends a Brown education to new audiences of learners, focusing on the development of skills and breadth of knowledge essential for professional success and leadership. The SPS leverages Brown’s intellectual centers of excellence, rigorous teaching, and developmental approach to learning across a range of programs. This includes serving students outside of traditional degree programs and partnering with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non-degree programs. The SPS also supports the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master’s students, encompassing traditional, non-traditional, and professional students.
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Graduate Recruitment Coordinator is to identify, outreach, and recruit qualified students to Brown University’s graduate programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the graduate degree marketplace, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This role involves managing a portfolio of prospective students across the full recruitment funnel, with a primary focus from initial inquiry through application completion. The successful candidate will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for recruitment, including engaging in personable phone conversations with a student-centered enrollment approach. The incumbent will appreciate the value of professional collaboration within a supportive environment. Prior experience meeting enrollment targets and/or a demonstrated capacity to convert prospective adult learners into applicants and enrolled students in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of one year of full-time professional experience in admissions, advisement, recruiting, educational outreach (secondary education) or a sales role.
Job Competencies:
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to be culturally adaptable and work well in diverse environments and with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or proven ability to learn and use new technology.
- Familiarity with Google Suite & Zoom.
- Data driven and familiarity with reporting and analysis.
- Ability to multitask and work under conditions of high volume during peak periods.

- Salary Grade: 8
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 37.5
- Position Work Location: Remote
- Recruiting Start Date: March 2, 2026
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
