Junior SharePoint & Power Apps Developer | Matrix Design Group, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Matrix Design Group, Inc., with the potential to transition to full-time, located across Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, or San Antonio. Matrix Design Group is an award-winning, employee-owned engineering, planning, and consulting firm dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. This position is vital for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s SharePoint environment, contributing to Power Apps solutions, and supporting the underlying data infrastructure for internal tools. It offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain real-world experience with Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform in a collaborative setting.

• Mission: This role maintains and enhances the SharePoint environment, develops Power Apps solutions and automation, and supports data infrastructure for internal tools and workflows.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Power Apps (canvas apps), Power Automate, Power Fx, SharePoint lists, Power BI, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Visual Studio Code.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Support the design, development, and maintenance of Power Apps canvas applications.
• Automate: Build and manage Power Automate workflows that integrate with SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Administer: Assist with the administration of SharePoint Online, including site creation, libraries, lists, pages, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot: Resolve issues with existing Power Apps and SharePoint solutions reported by end users.
• Collaborate: Gather requirements from project teams and stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications, and provide support and training on new tools.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career professional with foundational knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online.
• Experience: Basic experience building or customizing Power Apps canvas apps and understanding of relational database concepts using SharePoint lists as data sources. Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation.
• Skills: Ability to write and interpret basic formulas using Power Fx, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and clear communication with non-technical users.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), or familiarity with Visual Studio Code.
