Junior SharePoint & Power Apps Developer | Matrix Design Group, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Matrix Design Group, Inc., with the potential to transition to full-time, located in Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, or San Antonio. Matrix Design Group is an award-winning, employee-owned engineering, planning, and consulting firm that delivers innovative and sustainable solutions. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain real-world experience by maintaining and enhancing the organization’s SharePoint environment and contributing to the development of Power Apps solutions and automation. You will help support technology solutions by collaborating with project teams, business operations staff, and clients.

• Mission: Maintain and enhance the organization’s SharePoint environment, develop Power Apps solutions and automation, and support underlying data infrastructure.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Fx, SharePoint lists, Power BI, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Visual Studio Code

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps canvas applications to meet operational needs.
• Automate: Build and manage Power Automate workflows that integrate with SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Administer: Assist with SharePoint Online administration, including site creation, libraries, lists, pages, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot: Resolve issues with existing Power Apps and SharePoint solutions reported by end users.
• Collaborate: Gather requirements from project teams and stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent graduate or early-career professional with foundational knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online.
• Experience: Basic experience building or customizing Power Apps (canvas apps), understanding of relational database concepts, and familiarity with Power Automate.
• Skills: Ability to write and interpret basic formulas using Power Fx, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear written and verbal communication, and a collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), or Visual Studio Code.
