What You’ll Actually Do
• Engineering Support: Provide foundational engineering support for a range of projects, focusing on developing technical, social, and ethical skills relevant to wastewater treatment.
• Research and Design: Assist with comprehensive project research, conduct necessary field work, and perform preliminary design calculations and analysis for industrial water treatment systems.
• Treatability Studies: Aid in the execution of bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability studies, which includes developing test plans, managing experimental data, and reporting detailed results.
• Technical Calculations: Prepare crucial calculations for equipment sizing, estimation of reagent consumption, and determination of secondary waste generation for various projects.
• Reporting and Documentation: Write clear technical reports summarizing test results, technical information, and procedures, and support the preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and project documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering with a specific focus on Water Treatment or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: 0 – 1 years of relevant work experience, with a demonstrated interest in Industrial Water Treatment; authorization to work in the United States is required, with no relocation or housing assistance provided, and occasional project-specific travel may be necessary.
• Skills: Competent interpersonal and communication skills for professional interaction with diverse audiences, capable of receiving direction, basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation software, spreadsheets, and technology, and a proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a water treatment focus, Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification, prior internship experience directly related to the engineering discipline, and active membership or participation in local professional practice organizations.
