What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage in comprehensive hands-on activities that provide direct exposure to various facets of North American Stainless’s operations and the stainless steel manufacturing process.
• Actively participate in the structured summer co-op program, which is specifically designed to facilitate learning and practical skill development within a dynamic industrial setting.
• Collaborate closely with experienced North American Stainless employees and teams, absorbing knowledge and understanding the intricacies of daily tasks and long-term projects within the plant environment.
• Develop foundational professional skills by contributing to company efforts, observing best practices, and applying academic knowledge in a real-world, industry-leading context.
• Fulfill all program objectives and requirements, ensuring a successful completion of the Summer Dependent Co-op placement and maximizing the educational benefit of the experience.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Applicants must be a dependent of a current North American Stainless employee. This role is open to high school graduates who are currently enrolled in, or accepted into, a 2-year or 4-year college program, signifying an early career academic stage.
• Skills: Demonstrated academic proficiency with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is essential. Candidates must possess the organizational ability to gather and submit all required documentation, including official college or high school transcripts and, for high school seniors, a college acceptance letter. Furthermore, applicants need the aptitude to meticulously complete the exclusive online application form, ensuring all necessary paperwork is uploaded at submission and accurately listing their parent/guardian under the “Relatives at NAS” section by the April 3rd deadline.
