About the Elliott Electric Supply (EES) Internship Program

The Elliott Electric Supply (EES) Internship Program is specifically designed to identify and cultivate talented college students who show interest in pursuing a career with our organization after graduation. This comprehensive program offers students invaluable real-world experience within a dynamic distribution environment, simultaneously enabling Elliott Electric Supply to assess and nurture potential future employees.

Through this immersive internship, students will gain hands-on exposure to multiple facets of our business, fostering a deeper understanding of the electrical distribution industry. Our primary objective is to equip interns with meaningful work experience, significant professional development, and clear insight into potential long-term career opportunities within Elliott Electric Supply.

Key Learning Areas & Exposure

During the 12-week program, interns will rotate through and gain extensive exposure to several critical operational areas within our organization, including:

  • Warehouse and Distribution Operations: Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management, order fulfillment, and supply chain processes within a fast-paced environment.
  • Counter Sales and Inside Sales Support: Understanding customer interactions, processing orders efficiently, providing product information, and supporting sales strategies from an internal perspective.
  • Project Quotations and Customer Service: Learning about the bid process, generating accurate project quotes, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Branch and Operations Management: Gaining insight into the daily management, strategic oversight, and operational efficiencies of a branch location.
  • Outside Sales and Customer Relationship Management: Exposure to client engagement strategies, building strong customer relationships, and driving external sales efforts in the field.

Internship Project Component

Beyond the rotational experiences, each intern will be assigned a significant project. This project is specifically designed to allow interns to apply their acquired knowledge, develop critical problem-solving skills, and contribute meaningful, actionable insights directly to the business operations of Elliott Electric Supply.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Ability to submit a resume and unofficial college transcript with application.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, positive attitude, professionalism, and punctuality.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
