Work Shift: Rotating (8-hour shifts between 6 AM – 7 PM, Monday – Friday, plus rotating weekends)
Overview
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker I to join its essential food services team. This full-time position involves a rotating shift schedule, including rotating weekends, supporting the delivery of nutritious meals and excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Food Service Workers play a crucial role, contributing in multiple ways to ensure a high standard of dietary care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and assembling food in adherence to dietary guidelines, safety protocols, and customer preferences.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
- Washing dishes and ensuring kitchen equipment is clean.
- Operating as a cashier when needed.
- Meeting general utility needs within the food services department.
- Upholding all food safety standards.
As a Food Service Worker with Sentara, you will be involved in various aspects of delivering food services to patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. One year of food service experience may be considered in lieu of a High School Education.
- Certification/Licensure: Food Handlers Card (Required).
- Experience: Previous food service experience (Preferred).
