The Tone:
Penn State Health – Lancaster Medical Center is a new, 129-bed acute care hospital spanning 341,000 square feet, designed to enhance access to Penn State Health’s expertise and specialty services for residents in Lancaster and York counties. This full-time, night shift Registered Nurse position is pivotal in upholding the hospital’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence. Nurses in this role are responsible for delivering compassionate, individualized, and specialized care to a diverse patient population, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to achieve award-winning healthcare outcomes. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, acknowledging the critical contribution of this role to patient well-being and the community.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires individuals who are either Graduate Nurses holding a Temporary Practice Permit or currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse. Candidates must demonstrate foundational understanding and the ability to apply the nursing process and adhere to professional standards of nursing in daily practice.
• Experience: Applicants must hold a current state of employment Registered Nurse license or a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Skills: Key skills include the application of knowledge regarding growth and development to perform detailed assignments and interventions, providing consistent care responsive to the changing physical and psychosocial needs unique to each patient, and a commitment to continuous learning and providing specialized care. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification is a requirement that must be obtained prior to the end of the orientation period.
