Clare Bridge Program Assistant | Brookdale

The TL;DR
• Role: Clare Bridge Program Assistant
• Type: Part-time, Full-time
• Team: Reports to a Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator
• Mission: Assist in leading and implementing person-centered dementia-friendly programs that meet the specific needs of residents in the dementia care community.
• Tech Stack: PC’s, word processing software (preferably Microsoft Windows environment)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Implementation: Support the implementation of a person-centered program to meet individual resident needs and interests.
• Resident Engagement: Lead and engage residents in programs focusing on the 7 domains of well-being in a dementia-friendly structured environment, including sensory-focused small groups.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate and participate in special community events such as family socials, marketing/sales events, and open houses.
• Family Communication: Communicate positively with residents, families, and community professionals regarding the dementia care program and residents’ personal needs and successes.
• Direct Support: Perform personal care, housekeeping, and dietary responsibilities as needed to maintain service quality in accordance with program standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Early career level.
• Experience: Minimum one year of previous experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a current 3-year driving abstract with no more than one moving violation.
• Skills: Basic technical skills to complete repetitive duties, basic organizational knowledge, basic knowledge of PCs and word processing software, and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Associate’s Degree preferred.
