Business Intelligence Intern | Leidos

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person: Reston, VA
• Pay: $41600–$75200 yearly
• Team: R&D organization within the Digital Modernization Sector
• Mission: Ensure accurate measurement of program health, milestone progress, resource utilization, and strategic outcomes to enable data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Create and continuously improve performance metrics and KPIs for the R&D program.
• Create: Design standardized dashboards and reporting tools for tracking program health, milestones, and outcomes.
• Collect: Gather, validate, and consolidate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze: Examine quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Generate: Produce recurring weekly, monthly, or quarterly performance reports and executive-ready presentations for stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career: Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
• Experience: Defining metrics, data collection, data analysis, and reporting. Experience in management including leading teams, logistics planning, and financial management. Proven track record of critical thinking to solve problems and deliver meaningful innovations.
• Skills: Data analysis, reporting, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, customer orientation.
