Supply Chain Intern | Triple-S Steel

The Tone:
This is an internship at Triple-S Steel, located in Commerce City, CO. Triple-S Steel is a leading family-owned supplier of structural steel products. The Supply Chain Intern will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day supply chain operations and contributing to meaningful projects.

• Pay: $18.00–$20.00 hourly
• Mission: Supporting day-to-day supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, operational efficiencies, and data analysis.
• Tech Stack: ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Track incoming orders, analyze relevant performance metrics, and contribute to data analysis efforts to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Identify specific opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency, propose and assist in implementing lean initiatives, and support cost reduction strategies.
• Provide direct support for key supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
• Engage in supply planning activities and facilitate clear, effective communication with external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams to support and drive continuous process improvement efforts across the supply chain.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should be currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Business, Industrial Design, or a closely related field. Recent college graduates (within one year of graduation) from these disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Practical proficiency in relevant software applications, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and the Microsoft Office Suite, is required.
• Skills: A foundational understanding of inventory management principles and broader supply chain best practices; strong analytical abilities and proven problem-solving skills; and effective communication and negotiation capabilities for internal and external interactions.
