Guest Service Agent (Part-Time)
The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, ideally situated on California’s Central Coastline and steps away from pristine beaches, is seeking an enthusiastic Guest Service Agent (Part-Time). As a Guest Service Agent, you will provide essential support by greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel, contributing to the hotel’s ongoing commitment to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $19.00 per hour
- Shift Pattern: Part-Time
- Shifts: AM/MID/PM shifts, including weekends and holidays are required.
Key Responsibilities (What will I be doing?)
As a Guest Services Agent, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring guests know the location of their room or have a bell person accompany them.
- Assist guests with check-out, including ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area, and other general product knowledge, and answer guest questions and inquiries.
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Field guest complaints, conduct research, and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
- Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests.
Qualifications & Requirements (The ideal candidate should)
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 1-year of Customer Service experience.
- A minimum of 6-months of Hotel Front Desk experience.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule that includes AM/MID/PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- The ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking/standing.
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with English language-speaking guests/team members.
- Luxury Hotel experience and previous experience with OnQ PM System for Front Desk is a PLUS!
