What You’ll Actually Do
• Clinical Support: Assist doctors efficiently during a variety of dental treatment procedures, ensuring smooth operation of patient care.
• Operatory Preparation: Expertly set up the operatory prior to patient arrival and ensure proper breakdown and readiness after each treatment.
• Sterilization & Safety: Manage comprehensive infection control protocols, meticulously preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment.
• Patient Documentation: Support accurate patient charting for Doctors, ensuring all necessary information is recorded for effective treatment planning.
• Practice Operations: Perform various essential office tasks as necessary, contributing to the overall efficient functioning of the dental practice.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An early career professional who has earned a high school diploma or its equivalent, demonstrating a foundational commitment to ongoing learning and continuous professional development within the healthcare sector.
• Experience: No prior dental assisting experience is required for this entry-level position; however, candidates must be capable of obtaining their radiology and safety certification within the specific timeframe mandated by the state of practice. Aspen Dental explicitly offers paid training through its partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) to facilitate these required certifications, along with a pathway to become a DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
