Supply Chain Intern

Role Summary

The Supply Chain Intern will play a pivotal role in coordinating and administering Toray’s annual supplier diversity survey. This involves comprehensive task management, from developing and distributing communication to suppliers, tracking responses, and ultimately compiling and analyzing data to categorize suppliers based on classifications such as small business, women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned, or disadvantaged business enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update supplier contact lists to ensure accuracy.
  • Administer the annual supplier diversity survey efficiently.
  • Follow-up with suppliers proactively to encourage maximum participation.
  • Organize survey results and perform data validation to ensure integrity.
  • Support the Supply Chain team with various related administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be a current college student and planning to continue schooling after the internship period.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively with survey tools (e.g., Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey).
  • Possess basic data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrates strong and professional communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to effectively interact with suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Solid ability to collaborate within a team as well as work independently.

Compensation

Pay rate: $20 – $25/hr
