What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct Patient Care: Provides direct patient care to individuals using the nursing process, adhering to applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Clinical Interventions: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documentation & Communication: Documents patient care, monitors patient condition, and communicates effectively with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Patient Support & Education: Assists patients with daily living activities and provides appropriate patient and family education based on age, culture, and circumstances.
• Care Coordination: Coordinates patient care across multiple disciplines, managing transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree in nursing is required, providing a foundational understanding of nursing principles and patient care.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide direct patient care across all patient populations, including neonate, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult.
• Skills: A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, along with current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Preferred certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Handle with Care. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $15,000 for day positions or $20,000 for night positions, requiring a two-year commitment (excluding clinic positions), and offers eligibility for the clinical ladder program.
