The Tone:
This is an internship at Aspire Bakeries, located in Los Angeles, CA. Aspire Bakeries creates breads, cookies, and cakes, including well-known brands like La Brea Bakery artisan breads and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, muffins, and cakes. These products are enjoyed by millions daily, reflecting the dedication of our manufacturing and support teams. This role provides a hands-on, immersive experience into the art and science of business operations, from idea to execution and critical decision-making. Interns contribute directly to the creation of our beloved products and the optimization of sourcing processes, helping to build seamless experiences for stakeholders across our 13 commercial bakeries in North America.

• Mission: This intern will optimize sourcing processes and create seamless experiences for internal and external stakeholders through data analysis and relationship-building.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Develop and execute innovative projects across various business functions, sharing insights and results among the team.
• Analyze: Deliver impactful results by capturing and analyzing data, supporting critical decision-making processes.
• Strategize: Formulate and present a detailed category management strategy for a specific product or ingredient category.
• Implement: Aid in the development and implementation of new tools and processes designed for broad network suppliers.
• Evaluate: Conduct comprehensive total cost of ownership analysis to optimize category management and procurement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field relevant to our operations, such as Supply Chain, Food Science, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, or Mathematics. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
• Experience: This role prefers candidates who are currently in their Junior year of study, seeking a hands-on, full-time internship for a minimum of 11 consecutive weeks.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and effective cross-functional communication are essential for this role. Candidates should also possess skills in data analytics and relationship-building to optimize sourcing processes and stakeholder experiences.
