Talent Development Intern | Aspire Bakeries

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Aspire Bakeries, located in Los Angeles, CA (hybrid). Aspire Bakeries bakes breads, cookies, and cakes, creating foods like La Brea Bakery artisan breads and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies that bring people together. This role is important because it supports the design, research, and development of learning resources that enhance employee capability and strengthen the learning culture across our bakeries and offices. Your work will directly help shape the tools people use to grow their skills and contribute to talent initiatives.

• Pay: $25 hourly
• Mission: This person will support the creation of learning resources to enhance employee skills and contribute to talent initiatives across the company.
• Tech Stack: Learning management systems (LMS), creative tools for designing learning content

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Present development resource options to support talent and learning initiatives.
• Design: Create frameworks, processes, and tools that support chosen development solutions.
• Assess: Evaluate business needs and readiness, then develop actionable implementation plans for solutions.
• Collaborate: Work with HR and business leaders to gather input and ensure alignment on development initiatives.
• Pilot: Test proposed solutions and collect feedback necessary for full-scale rollout.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or Learning/Talent Development (Junior or Senior preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3.0 GPA with experience in instructional design or learning content creation.
• Skills: Strong project-management skills, learning agility, systems-thinking mindset, strong written, verbal, and presentation/training skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Bonus: Prior internship or work experience in HR or Learning & Development, familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), comfort working with creative tools for designing learning content, ability to translate complex ideas into practical and engaging learning resources, and a curious, initiative-taking passion for talent development.
