About the Learfield Amplify Internship

The Learfield Amplify internship offers students an unparalleled opportunity to delve into the intricate world of revenue generation within college athletics. This includes gaining firsthand insights into critical areas such as ticket sales, premium seating, and development initiatives.

Interns will work collaboratively with campus partners, actively contributing to efforts that enhance fan engagement, drive outreach, and illuminate the strategic thinking behind successful ticketing and fundraising operations. This experience serves as an invaluable foundation for anyone aspiring to a career in sports business or athletic administration.

Program Details

  • Program Type: Full-time Summer Internship
  • Duration: Nine weeks (June 1st, 2026 – July 31st, 2026)
  • Compensation: Paid internship
  • Key Components:
    • Assigned tasks from manager
    • Summer-long comprehensive project, culminating in a presentation to the team
    • Opportunities for personal and professional development through program content, including speaker series
    • Virtual program content, but interns are expected to report out of the assigned office location
    • Opportunities to learn more about Learfield through a visit to a campus property and cross-departmental interactions

Responsibilities

As a Learfield Amplify intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Best Practices Documentation: Assisting in the creation of a best-practices deck by compiling examples, documenting processes, and organizing insights gathered from internal teams.
  • Strategic Content Development: Helping to develop yearly Sport MVP Playbooks and Revenue Summit decks. This involves compiling sport-specific revenue strategies, refining content for clarity and impact, and integrating best practices and insights from various Amplify teams.
  • Handbook Review and Updates: Reviewing and updating the Director and Seller Handbooks. This includes refining existing content, correcting any outdated references, and generally improving the overall clarity and user-friendliness of these essential resources.
  • CRM Management Support: Supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM) efforts by updating records, organizing data efficiently, and ensuring data accuracy across leadership and seller dashboards.
  • Training and Development Exposure: Attending MVP Training and Development sessions to gain valuable exposure to Amplify’s comprehensive sales process, core revenue strategies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Standing: Currently a junior or senior, with an expected graduation date no later than August 2027.
  • Availability: Ability to start work on Monday, June 1st, 2026, and secure housing for the entire nine-week duration of the program.
  • Academic Background (Ideal): Ideally majoring in Sport Management/Administration, Business Management, Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a closely related field.
  • Career Interest: A strong interest in pursuing a career focused on revenue generation, ticket sales, premium seating, or development within the sports industry.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
