What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Maintenance: Assist in maintaining critical datasets, including client portfolios, investment performance metrics, market signals, and regulatory information.
• Reporting Support: Prepare and deliver various periodic reports and interactive dashboards for internal teams and valued clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Data Quality: Perform fundamental data quality checks, proactively identify discrepancies, and collaborate to ensure timely resolution and data integrity.
• Documentation: Contribute to the documentation of essential data definitions, data lineage, and reporting standards for organizational consistency.
• Ad-hoc Analytics: Generate insightful ad-hoc analytics requests, transforming raw data into clear, actionable outputs that support strategic decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in a Bachelor’s program in Data Science, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Experience: Basic understanding and working knowledge of Excel, SQL, or Python for data analysis purposes.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment.
• Bonus: Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, foundational knowledge of database technology, exposure to investment management concepts, or an interest in financial data regulatory aspects.
