Job Summary

Bern’s Steak House is seeking entry-level Wine Cellar Associates. This role involves cleaning, organizing, sorting, and meticulously maintaining the warehouse and wine cellar in a fast-paced environment. No prior experience is required.

Responsibilities And Duties (PM Shift: 4 PM – Midnight)

  • Conduct tours of the wine cellar.
  • Accurately locate specific bottles within the extensive wine collection.
  • Polish glassware to high standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and safety of both the wine cellar and warehouse.
  • Restock wines daily using inventory from a nearby warehouse location. This task requires a fair amount of climbing ladders in both the warehouse and the cellar.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the entire shift.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds consistently.
  • Adherence to all sanitation policies and cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly, safely, and effectively.
  • Capability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume restaurant setting.

You will be working under the guidance of four Sommeliers, alongside a team of approximately a dozen other wine cellar stewards, within a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This is an ideal position for individuals studying for Level Sommelier certification, as it offers daily opportunities to taste wines and receive education from tenured staff.
