The TL;DR

• Mission: Conduct SOX controls testing and operational audits to ensure the operating effectiveness of internal controls and document audit conclusions.
• Tech Stack: SAP ECC, SAP BW, BPC ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• SOX Testing: Conduct joint meetings with external auditors and management to test the operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Documentation: Prepare work papers and analyze the evidence of control performance for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing.
• Compliance Analysis: Make pass/failure determinations and support the follow up of issues identified during SOX testing in various areas including Financial Reporting, Taxes, Payroll, Revenue, Fixed Assets, and Treasury.
• Operational Audits: Execute audit programs, perform testing, and prepare audit work papers to document conclusions reached during testing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree. Early Career. Current student in their sophomore or junior year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience: Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Minimum GPA of 3.3.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, time management, and an inquisitive mindset. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bonus: Experience with data analytics tool.
