About the Job: Telemetry Monitor Technician (Part-Time, Nights)

We are seeking a benefited, part-time Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our team. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts on varied nights, with general hours from 1830 to 0700. The position requires availability for rotating holidays and weekends. This role is located at Scripps Centralized Services on Rehco Road.

What You’ll Do:
As a Telemetry Monitor Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 (continuous oxygen saturation) via advanced telemetry equipment.
- Monitoring patients during transport to and from procedures/units, ensuring continuous oversight.
- Interpreting cardiac rhythms and SPO2 data, promptly reporting any changes to the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Prioritizing notifications to the RN based on emergent patient care needs.
- Identifying and maintaining the integrity of the telemetry system, reporting all malfunctions and needed adjustments.
- Printing telemetry strips and meticulously documenting findings per unit standards.
- Placing patients on cardiac/SPO2 monitors, changing batteries, and setting up leads accurately.
- Performing clerical and other duties as requested, adhering to unit standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of formal telemetry training, which may include a class or online course.
- OR an Electrocardiogram (EKG) OR Arrhythmia Certification course.
- OR completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD, or RN Program.
- OR other cardiac-related programs.
- 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred.
- Basic Arrhythmia Certification.
- EKG certification.
- EMT experience.

Position Pay Range: $25.95-$32.56/hour
