About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Food & Nutrition Clerk (FANS Clerk) to join our team! As our FANS Clerk, you will be responsible for processing menus and diet orders pertaining to the nutritional care and food service of all patients. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Assist Dietitians in screening of all new admissions and obtaining food preferences.
• Maintain computer systems accurately.
• Process, modify, collect and check patient menus.
• Participate in meal services and/or other production related duties as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and families to ensure they stay informed of additional food item availability.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with the dietary team.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Knowledge of basic principles of nutrition as related to modified diets preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a Diet Tech strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Strong customer service and listening skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
