What You’ll Actually Do
• Teaching: Teach English to young learners aged 3–16 in a fun, interactive, and immersive classroom setting.
• Lesson Delivery: Deliver high-energy lessons using English 1’s award-winning curriculum and digital tools.
• Student Support: Provide constructive feedback and help students build confidence in their English skills.
• Engagement: Take part in school events, cultural activities, and student engagement programs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in any subject is the foundational educational requirement, making this an ideal entry-level or first job for recent graduates and individuals exploring a career change into international education.
• Experience: Candidates must possess a valid passport and successfully clear a background check. A genuine, demonstrable interest in education, travel, and cultural exchange is paramount, indicating a readiness for an immersive international career experience. No prior teaching experience is mandatory, as English 1 provides full, comprehensive induction training, ready-made teaching materials, and ongoing support designed to equip new teachers for success. This includes visa sponsorship and support for relocation.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging effectively with young learners and participating actively in school events and cultural activities. An eagerness to learn and adapt to English 1’s award-winning curriculum and digital tools, coupled with a proactive attitude towards continuous professional development, will ensure success and personal growth within the organization.
• Bonus: While not strictly required, ESL certification such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA is a plus. For individuals without existing certification, English 1 offers sponsorship for TEFL certification and provides extensive opportunities for skill development and career advancement through structured programs, including distance learning courses like Level 6 Trinity College CertPT and DELTM. Free Mandarin Chinese lessons are also provided, supporting cultural immersion and personal development.
