• Mission: Aid in the design of test fixtures, fabrication, setup, and testing to simulate environmental and climatic conditions for aircraft systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Aid in the design of test fixtures for various aircraft system simulations.
• Execute Testing: Conduct fabrication, setup, and testing, simulating environmental and climatic conditions for aircraft systems.
• Simulate Conditions: Perform tests for conditioned air flow, altitude and climate chambers, bird strike, store ejection, and wind tunnel environments.
• Maintain Capabilities: Identify maintenance needs for equipment and facilities to ensure continuous laboratory capabilities.
• Direct Staff: Work with and direct represented employees during testing and related activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical major, for an early career role.
• Experience: Course work or experience in one or more CAD applications such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Skills: Knowledge of technical planning, system integration, and validation; ability to interpret schematics/blueprints of complex parts and systems; experience with fluid test systems and sensor applications/selection.
• Bonus: Demonstrated experience in test instrumentation and performing system/component tests; familiarity with machining and welding trade terminology; experience with MS office.
