Kaizen Summer Sales Intern | Kaizen Marketing
The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Kaizen Marketing, focused on developing skills in business development and sales. Kaizen Marketing helps clients by driving growth through effective lead generation, service demonstrations, and strategic account management. This paid internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in outside sales, territory management, and customer engagement. The role is designed to jumpstart a career in sales, offering valuable exposure to the full spectrum of sales functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Outreach: Engage in outside sales activities by identifying potential clients and building strong relationships through cold calling and direct outreach, playing a vital role in driving growth for the company.
• Territory Management: Assist in managing territory sales by analyzing market trends and developing strategic plans to effectively expand the customer base within your assigned region.
• Service Demonstrations: Conduct compelling service demonstrations to showcase product features and benefits, skillfully upselling solutions that precisely meet individual client needs and requirements.
• Lead Generation: Support comprehensive lead generation efforts, effectively utilizing CRM software to track prospects and manage all follow-up activities to nurture potential clients through the sales funnel.
• Business Development: Collaborate closely with management on various business development initiatives, identifying new market opportunities and continuously working to improve overall sales processes for greater efficiency and success.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional, currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or a related academic program. Strong interest in sales, marketing, or management is essential.
• Experience: Demonstrated enthusiasm for outside sales, understanding B2B transactions, and a clear grasp of sales cycles.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with diverse clients. Familiarity with CRM software and strong analysis skills to interpret conversations and guide client interactions.
• Bonus: Prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management is considered a valuable asset but is not a prerequisite for this role.
