What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Projects: Lead or contribute to strategic projects involving organizational assessment, operational analysis, or performance optimization.
• Research & Analysis: Apply advanced research, modeling, or evaluation techniques to inform policy, process design, or resource planning.
• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare and present findings, reports, and recommendations to support decision-making by INL leaders and stakeholders.
• Professional Development: Engage in enrichment activities including workshops and networking opportunities.
• Strategy Development: Demonstrate critical thinking, initiative, and the ability to translate analytical insights into actionable strategies that drive institutional performance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled full-time in a graduate program at an accredited college/university, pursuing advanced degrees in fields like Business & Management, Communications, Human Resources, Policy, or Economics.
• Experience: Introductory knowledge of subject matter and systems related to the assigned project, with the ability to work with support to meet deadlines and produce formal documents.
• Skills: Critical thinking, initiative, ability to translate analytical insights into actionable strategies, effective verbal and written communication, and ability to develop effective working relationships.
• Bonus: Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” or “Q” clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship, and eligibility for travel reimbursement.
