Junior Software Engineer | Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc.

The Tone:
This is an entry-level software engineering role at Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc., located onsite. The company is a premier custom design-build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems. This position contributes to the development and maintenance of enterprise safety and sustainability software-as-a-service platforms and internal tools. The role is a chance to grow technically while building systems used by Fortune 100 companies.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design, develop, test, and deploy software features and functionality across the full stack.
• Code: Write clean, maintainable code for front-end UIs and back-end APIs.
• Test: Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate: Participate in team design discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
• Improve: Take ownership of projects and contribute to improving the customer experience.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience; this is an Early Career role.
• Experience: Proficiency in modern JavaScript and familiarity with frameworks such as Vue or React; experience with modern PHP or comparable programming languages.
• Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills; demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
• Bonus: Experience with SaaS development or enterprise platforms; familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git); a portfolio or examples of previous development work; understanding of full-stack software architecture and testing practices.
