What You’ll Actually Do
• GPA Management: Calculate and accurately enter overall applicant GPA, as well as GPA for each previous university, into the Student Information System (SIS).
• Transcript Analysis: Evaluate transcripts to determine if GPA criteria have been met and confirm the receipt and authenticity of all required documents.
• Prerequisite Interpretation: Interpret and evaluate program prerequisites, transfer credit, and grading systems, applying appropriate university resources and guidelines.
• Applicant Guidance: Advise prospective applicants on appropriate courses to fulfill specific program prerequisites for graduate and professional degrees.
• Quality Assurance: Work collaboratively with colleagues to review, correct, and perform quality control checks for all prerequisite referrals, ensuring consistent and accurate review of student coursework.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. This is an S1 Entry-level Individual Contributor role within Academic Administration, requiring a detailed understanding of university structure, academic programs, policies, procedures, and admission requirements.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required. The position necessitates maintaining current knowledge of OSU Graduate programs and degree pathways, and understanding unique admissions processes and course prerequisites for Professional programs.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong collaboration skills, are essential for effective communication and teamwork within the department.
