Financial Services Intern | Allworth Financial

The Tone:
This is a 10-week summer internship at Allworth Financial, with opportunities to be based in Folsom, CA, Addison, TX, or Kennesaw, GA. Allworth Financial provides fiduciary wealth management and holistic financial planning to clients. This paid internship serves as an early-career pathway into the Associate Advisor role, offering hands-on experience in supporting real client work and contributing to advisory processes. Interns will develop foundational skills essential for long-term success in financial planning, working alongside CFP® professionals and Associate Advisors.

• Pay: $20 hourly
• Team: Reports to a Regional Director or Designated CFP Professional; works with CFP® professionals, Associate Advisors, and cross-functional planning teams.
• Mission: Provides meaningful, hands-on exposure to fiduciary wealth management and develops foundational skills for long-term success in financial planning.
• Tech Stack: Salesforce, MoneyGuide, Holistiplan, Wealth.com

What You’ll Actually Do
• Advisory Support: Support internal financial planning workflows by assisting with analyses, scenario modeling, and utilizing financial planning software.
• Client Service: Maintain accurate client documentation within CRM systems and contribute to planning-related service workflows.
• Professional Development: Engage in structured learning sessions and receive coaching to build foundational financial planning and communication skills.
• Strategic Contribution: Participate in weekly intern cohort meetings and contribute to cross-functional business initiatives and research projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 (entering final year of undergraduate study).
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership, initiative, or involvement in academic or extracurricular activities.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; professional presence and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment; ability to learn and apply financial planning software and office systems.
• Bonus: Strong interest in pursuing the CFP® designation and a long-term career in wealth management.
