The TL;DR

• Mission: Provide essential support and companionship to clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life within the comfort of their homes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Personalized Care Assistance: Provide sensitive and respectful assistance with daily personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene, always prioritizing client dignity and comfort.
• Mobility Support: Aid clients with safe transfers and mobility within their homes, utilizing appropriate techniques to ensure their comfort, prevent falls, and support their independence.
• Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appealing, and balanced meals, carefully tailored to meet clients’ specific dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper sustenance and enjoyment.
• Light Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living space, contributing to client well-being and comfort.
• Health Monitoring & Reporting: Diligently observe and monitor clients’ overall health status, meticulously noting any changes in physical condition, behavior, mood, or cognitive function, and promptly report these observations to family members or designated healthcare professionals for timely intervention.
• Companionship & Emotional Support: Engage clients in meaningful conversation, listen attentively to their needs and stories, and offer consistent emotional reassurance, fostering a positive, supportive, and engaging environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A deep-seated commitment to providing compassionate, sensitive, and respectful care, coupled with a strong understanding of supporting individuals to maintain their independence, dignity, and overall quality of life within their home environments.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability or a clear aptitude for performing daily personal care activities, assisting with safe transfers and mobility, preparing nutritious meals, and diligently monitoring clients’ health status and well-being.
• Skills: Patience, Empathy, Good Communication, Reliability, Compassion, Adaptability, Observation Skills.
