Position Summary: Junior Account Executive

Lyssé New York is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Junior Account Executive to play a pivotal role in supporting our wholesale growth and account management efforts specifically across the Northeastern territory. This dynamic role offers invaluable hands-on experience in critical sales functions, including strategic sales outreach, meticulous event coordination, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities for this position encompass proactive outbound communication to both prospective and existing accounts, focused new business development, efficient sample distribution, and robust pipeline building. The Junior Account Executive will also be instrumental in assisting with the coordination of impactful trunk events and essential trade show participation. Furthermore, you will provide comprehensive account support for our valued wholesale partners and contribute significantly to the successful rollout of our Loyalty Program through targeted upselling initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain practical, in-depth experience in regional sales and wholesale operations within the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively: Willingness to travel up to 40% throughout the Northeastern region is required for boutique visits, client meetings, and trade shows.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate, nurture, and sustain strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing clients within the fashion industry.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Territory Director to regularly assess shipments, analyze orders, monitor sales performance, manage stock levels, and optimize merchandising strategies.
  • Market Activities Leadership: Take the lead on sales initiatives by scheduling, efficiently managing, and expertly executing market activities within the showroom to drive substantial business growth with current clients.
  • New Business Development & Brand Visibility: Focus proactively on acquiring new clients, organizing impactful events, and initiating strategic outreach to companies and organizations to significantly enhance brand visibility and drive both marketing and sales efforts.
  • Travel Planning & Execution: Develop and execute strategic road travel plans that are both effective and cost-efficient, in partnership with seasonal goals, the Account Manager, and specific store needs.
  • Event & Trade Show Participation: Attend and actively host trade shows and relevant in-season events, including regional and smaller hotel shows within your designated territory. Eventually, recruit and train independent Sales Consultants for potential trunk shows in our studio or local areas.
  • Market Expansion: Proactively explore new business opportunities and untapped markets for brand expansion, including visiting stores where potential engagement could lead to new account openings.
  • Account Management Excellence: Continuously manage key customer accounts, ensuring strong, ongoing relationships and maximizing their potential.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Market Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the regional market, including current trends, the competitive landscape, and specific customer preferences within the Northeastern territory.
  • Industry Expertise: Familiarity with industry-specific practices, products, and standards relevant to the fashion wholesale sector.
  • Client Relationship Skills: Proven familiarity with managing and nurturing client relationships, including effective key account management techniques.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of techniques for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and growth areas.
  • Organizational Prowess: Strong organizational abilities for efficiently managing multiple tasks, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Windows suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • CRM Familiarity: Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written) and strong organizational skills.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach.

Compensation for this position includes a $55,000 base salary with eligibility for an additional monthly bonus based on performance, offering a total compensation potential of $70,000+.
