Graduate Intern: Track & Field/Athletics Facilities Operations | Regis College
The Tone:
This is a graduate internship at Regis College, located in Weston, MA. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time (35-hour/week)
• Location: In-person, Weston, MA
• Pay: $4000 yearly
• Team: Collaborates with the Head Coach, serves as a core member of the Events Operations Team, and reports to Athletic Administration.
• Mission: To provide comprehensive support to the Track & Field program and the broader Department of Athletics, ensuring compliance and enhancing the student-athlete experience.
• Tech Stack: Computer literacy, online recruiting databases
What You’ll Actually Do
• Coaching: Collaborate with the Head Coach on program administration, including coaching and teaching athletes at all practices and meets.
• Recruitment: Actively assist the Head Coach in recruiting student-athletes at regional and national levels through various communication methods and visit organization.
• Logistics & Support: Plan team travel, organize meals for away competitions, facilitate community service projects, and aid in academic enrichment programs for student-athletes.
• Facility Operations: Act as the primary liaison for Athletics Facility Maintenance and assist the Events Operations Team with intercollegiate competition setup, staffing, and breakdown.
• Compliance & Administration: Ensure strict adherence to NCAA, Conference, and University rules, participate in Athletic Department staff meetings, and assist with fundraising initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and admission to one of Regis College’s graduate programs; Early Career level.
• Experience: Prior successful playing or coaching experience at the college level is preferred; significant successful high school or club experience will be considered.
• Skills: Excellent communication, computer literacy, and interpersonal skills; strong ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail; appropriate certifications in First Aid / CPR and AED are required within an appropriate time of hire; valid driver’s license.
