Job Description

Xcellas 360 is actively seeking a Jr Designer to join their team, primarily supporting Pepco distribution projects. Given that BGE is another significant client, ideal candidates will have exposure to both clients and be adaptable to switching between projects based on workload. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to gain valuable experience in electric distribution design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Design: Create electric distribution projects using Microstation.
• Site Visits: Conduct walk-downs at project sites to gather necessary pictures and field notes.
• Coordination: Facilitate job status updates and communication with both internal customer and external client stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Submit design packages for internal QA review and implement corrections based on feedback.
• Continuous Improvement: Learn from redlines and mistakes to continually enhance design skills and knowledge.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other drafters and designers to obtain crucial information, seek guidance, and contribute to larger projects as part of a team.

Qualifications

Education:

• An Associate’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

• Experience with Pepco AND BGE projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with AS8 (Asset Suite 8) is a plus.
