NSF 12-Week Assurance Division Internship
NSF is offering a dynamic 12-week internship within our Assurance division, designed for individuals eager to gain practical experience in data management and analysis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting cross-functional teams by contributing to the gathering and organization of data essential for various business objectives. This internship provides hands-on experience with data manipulation using industry-standard tools like Excel and Power BI.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel and be available to work in a hybrid capacity, requiring 3 days a week in our Ann Arbor office location.
Responsibilities
- Support cross-functional teams by helping gather and organize data needed for business objectives.
- Assist with basic data manipulation in Excel and Power BI, including cleaning datasets, preparing simple analyses, and identifying initial trends.
- Perform routine data accuracy checks under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help prepare clear summaries or visuals for internal stakeholders.
- Support documentation activities, including updating files, organizing shared materials, and maintaining version control.
- Assist the Process and Operations team with testing, data updates, and simple enhancements to support division needs.
- Provide general support for accreditation-related tasks, transition projects, traceability, and following up on assigned items.
Qualifications
- High Proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, charts).
- Interest in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently with guidance and thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Power BI or a willingness to learn.
- Interest or coursework in quality systems, analytics, engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is a plus but not expected.
