The intern will play a crucial part in completing accounting tasks, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements for a publicly traded company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Contribute to the smooth execution of month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
• Prepare: Assist in the thorough preparation of financial statements and their related footnotes, including critical documents like Form 10-Q for SEC filing.
• Ensure: Maintain strict compliance with established accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.
• Collaborate: Work closely with various internal departments to efficiently gather necessary financial information and support cross-functional objectives.
• Develop: Gain significant hands-on experience in corporate accounting within a publicly traded company, enhancing skills in financial analysis, reporting, SEC financial reporting, and SOX compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, pursuing an Accounting major or holding an equivalent academic concentration.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in working with large volumes of data and utilizing pivot tables; comfortable collaborating with and presenting information to executives; experience or aptitude for working independently with initial guidance.
• Skills: Strong command of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; highly organized and methodical with a strong attention to detail; possesses an adaptive and inquisitive mindset as a natural problem solver; driven to deliver results and capable of establishing rapport, earning trust, and effectively collaborating with others.
• Bonus: Prefers to operate autonomously when given clear initial guidance and requests, effectively leveraging available cross-functional resources and teams.
