Production Runner | Insomniac Events
The Tone:
This is a non-remote position at Insomniac Events, located in Los Angeles, CA. Insomniac produces immersive music festivals and events globally, known for state-of-the-art production and the “Headliner experience.” This role supports the Back of House Department, ensuring the smooth operation and logistical efficiency of events by managing transportation, errands, and direct production assistance. This position contributes directly to the success of world-class music experiences by keeping operations running seamlessly.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-site)
• Pay: $16–$20 hourly
• Team: Back of House Department; reports to Back of House Manager
• Mission: This person ensures the operational flow of Insomniac’s events by handling critical logistics, transportation, and direct production support.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transportation & Logistics: Coordinate and execute transportation for various personnel, including hotel and airport pickups/drop-offs, and manage company-rented vehicle movements.
• Errand Management: Execute diverse errands, such as procuring department meals, laundry, groceries, package deliveries, equipment rentals, and coffee runs.
• Production Support: Assist production staff with general event-related duties and provide local area information and recommendations to touring teams.
• Administrative & Financial: Maintain cash and receipts for expense reimbursement and reconciliation, performing light administrative duties like copying and sign posting while upholding confidentiality.
• Special Projects: Undertake various assigned projects and tasks, demonstrating flexibility and initiative as needs arise.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum 21 years of age.
• Experience: Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and full insurance coverage; demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in demanding, fast-paced environments.
• Skills: Safe driving practices, strong logistical coordination and execution, efficient task management and organization, basic expense tracking and reconciliation, and adaptability to extended and irregular hours.
