Position Summary

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, ensuring an excellent guest experience. This role requires an individual who is personable, professional, and adept at working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. Maintaining excellent attendance and availability to work events as scheduled per business needs are crucial for this position.

This role offers an hourly rate of $15.00 and is tip eligible. Part-time employees are eligible for benefits including a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until May 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to meet company standards for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform adherence.
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus, providing service as described.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in strict adherence to all proper procedures and state/federal regulations pertaining to alcohol distribution.
  • Acquire or possess knowledge of various beer, wine varieties, and spirits, and be able to suggestively upsell products to guests.
  • Pour drinks responsibly and consistently in accordance with company standards for serving size.
  • Verify guests’ IDs in accordance with state/federal regulations to confirm the minimum age requirement for alcoholic beverage purchases.
  • Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required, demonstrating responsible service practices.
  • Actively listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns with professionalism.
  • De-escalate situations involving impaired guests effectively and responsibly.
  • Contact management or security as required if a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity.
  • Request assistance from a management member if unable to resolve a situation or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making.
  • Request additional product or restock product as required to maintain inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station at all times.
  • Ensure all bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as the set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assisting with cooler organization.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current, valid Alcohol Safety training certificate issued by an approved South Carolina State Vendor.
  • Six months or more of previous bartending experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours, as business needs dictate.
