How a Graphic Designer Will Make An Impact
GDIT is seeking a Graphic Design specialist with an advanced visualization skillset. The candidate would be a part of a high-performing team of designers and communications specialists responsible for a wide variety of graphic design tasks. This includes visualizing and creating reports, infographics, flyers, and other products while helping to maintain a cohesive brand identity.
Requirements
- Advanced skills in modern graphic design, with basic copy-editing/proof-reading skills.
- Creating and editing visual content for high-level information conveyance (e.g., strategic plans, briefings).
- Elevating and standardizing the full range of all print and digital publications (e.g., annual reports, outreach flyers, websites).
- Ability to work closely with the leadership team and data analytics team to help promote and enhance content including reports, briefs, and visual data.
- 2+ years relevant experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.

Key Knowledge Areas
- Principles of Graphic Design: Expertise in graphic design, multimedia, data visualization, and standards to produce complex, customized visual communication products.
- Graphic Design Software: Proficiency in graphic design software to illustrate abstract ideas, complex data and concepts, and to depict highly technical subject matter.
- Ability to Provide Guidance on:
- Translating abstract ideas and concepts into clear visual representation.
- Developing comprehensive layouts for review, comment, and final approval.
- Interpreting, analyzing, organizing, and transforming information from statistical information, report notes, or general descriptions to be visually depicted into creative design solutions that effectively communicate the customer’s objectives and requirements.
- Bonus Skills:
- Working knowledge of multimedia design and production, including animation, videography, still photography, editing, and post-production.
- Basics of script development and video and multimedia production processes.
- Basics of filming and editing video.
- Basics of animation and motion graphics.
- Still photography abilities, including both event documentation and studio portrait photography.

Salary Range
The likely salary range for this position is $79,900 – $108,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
