What You’ll Actually Do
• Guest Service: Offer consistently friendly and welcoming service to all guests.
• Menu Guidance: Provide informed recommendations from the menu to enhance the guest’s dining selection.
• Needs Anticipation: Proactively anticipate and fulfill the various needs of guests throughout their entire visit.
• Operational Efficiency: Execute tasks efficiently and effectively while consistently maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Dining Area Management: Efficiently transport plates, glasses, and baskets between the dining room, service bar, and kitchen, an activity estimated to occur around 30 times per shift depending on business flow.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This entry-level role requires individuals to be at least 18 years old, with a foundational commitment to directly enhancing the guest experience in a busy restaurant environment. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in hospitality and customer satisfaction.
• Experience: Proven capability in effective verbal communication, enabling clear interaction with diverse guests and seamless coordination with a restaurant team. This includes active listening to understand guest requests and relaying information accurately.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal communication for engaging with guests and collaborating with colleagues; a consistent positive attitude even during peak business periods; efficient task execution, including managing multiple tables and timely service delivery; and the ability to anticipate guest needs to provide proactive service.
