The Role: Human Resources Intern
As an HR Intern, you will work in close collaboration with our experienced HR team, gaining valuable exposure to a diverse range of human resources functions. This role is specifically designed to be highly hands-on and educational, providing you with practical experience while actively supporting critical day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities
In this role, you will learn and support various aspects of Human Resources, including:
- Employee Record Management: Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and managing essential HR documentation.
- Recruitment Support: Aid in recruitment efforts, which may involve drafting and posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and coordinating candidate interviews.
- Onboarding Process: Help facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork and introductory materials.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Support administrative tasks related to payroll processing and employee benefits.
- Employee Relations & Internal Communications: Assist with initiatives aimed at fostering positive employee relations and contributing to internal communications.
- Compliance & Policy Alignment: Help ensure that HR processes adhere to company policies and relevant compliance standards.
- Special HR Projects: Participate in and contribute to various special HR projects as needed, offering opportunities for broader exposure.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this internship, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Initiative & Eagerness to Learn: A proactive attitude, willingness to learn new concepts, and ability to take initiative.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable and proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Prior exposure to an HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is a plus, but not a requirement.
Compensation
This is a paid internship offering competitive compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $19–$20 per hour, commensurate with experience and education level.
