Job Title & Location

We are seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA.

Your Mission & Responsibilities

In this role, you will work in a team environment utilizing software methodologies and processes. You will contribute to crucial projects by applying your software development skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Acceptable degree programs include science and technology related programs such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic software development practices.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including ship.

Desired Skills

The successful candidate will ideally have experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Java/JS.
  • Familiarity with XML, Windows, .NET, LINUX/UNIX.
  • Experience with system software and scripting development.
  • Knowledge of web development.
  • Experience in System analysis, System design, Software Design, Software Development and Implementation, Software Test.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Process.
  • Results-oriented team player, creative thinker, and problem-solver who will follow all ethical standards of the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Information

The annual base salary range for this position varies by location:

  • $62,700 – $110,630 for California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC.
  • $72,200 – $125,005 for most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York.
  • For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. This position is incentive plan eligible.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Work-Life & Company Culture

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week, while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
